Lean Bronze Certification

This focused, 56-hour, blended learning program prepares participants to understand the fundamentals of Lean. The course consists of a combination of presentations, online modules, practice exams, worksheet development, group simulations, and small group discussions. Interactive groups review tactical lean principles in order to share ideas and solidify their knowledge about key lean concepts. This course is perfect for people who are on a lean journey at work, and to lean champions and practitioners charged with facilitating those lean transformations.

The Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME), Association for Manufacturing Engineers (AME), The Shingo Prize for Operational Excellence, and ASQ have collaborated to develop a Lean Certification that standardizes practices within organizations, regardless of size or industry. What is covered in this course is consistent with the body of knowledge covered on this Lean Certification (at the Bronze-level). See SME's website for specific exam requirements (www.sme.org).
