Medical Spanish

This program prepares non-Spanish-speaking healthcare professionals to provide medical care and attention to Spanish-speaking patients in medical office settings and in hospitals. In addition to workplace Spanish language, this program provides trans-cultural training for current and future healthcare professionals. Emphasis is placed on enhancing quality of patient care. No prior knowledge of Spanish is necessary. Please note: this workshop does not replace the importance of qualified Spanish-language interpreters in the medical exam room. Instead, this workshop is designed to help the nursing staff to communicate with Spanish speaking patients during standard procedures.
