Digital Marketing Professional   

Do you like using a computer and learning new software programs? Do you have a sales or marketing background? Do you want to learn skills in high demand? Are you interested in learning how to promote business online and develop a targeted online marketing strategy? This program explores many aspects of Digital Marketing including online marketing fundamentals, SEO fundamentals, UX, content management, Social Media (paid and organic), Customer Relational Management (CRM) software, email marketing, blogs, newsletters, Google analytics essential training, mobile marketing fundamentals, lead generation fundamentals. Your final project will require building an integrated online digital marketing plan.

In this course, you will learn the technology, skills, and techniques to build a successful online marketing campaign for many digital channels including search engines (Google), video, social, email, and display. You will also gain practical skills in the art of planning and managing a digital online marketing campaign. Topics to be covered include:

  • Digital Marketing Fundamentals Digital Marketing will be introduced with discussions of how the digital revolution has dramatically changed the way products and services are bought and sold. Front-end Development, UX, and SEO and their relationship to Digital Marketing will be discussed. The student will be introduced to an overview of the courses for the whole Program.
  • Local and On Page SEO Students will be given an opportunity to create a WordPress site to get hands-on training learning how to implement Local and On-Page SEO. The student will have the chance to work with a website to implement local SEO by registering with the main search engines (Google, Yahoo, and Bing). In addition, on-page SEO will be discussed.
  • Digital Marketing and UX There is a cost and resource allocation to attract potential customers to a website. What the customers do on the website and how they experience the website is the domain of User Experience (UX). In this module, we will discuss how the digital marketer’s role is intertwined with the discipline of UX.
  • Content Marketing, Inbound Marketing Moz and HubSpot will be discussed and demonstrated. Students will learn about content marketing, which includes creating and distributing valuable, relevant and consistent content that is targeted to the company’s audience. Relevant and valuable content will drive organic (non-paid) search results to the company’s website. Inbound marketing will be demonstrated. SEO will be further defined.
  • Social Media advertising (Paid) Google AdWords, Linked-In, and Facebook paid advertising campaigns will be demonstrated and discussed. For paid advertising, Google AdWords, and Facebook have emerged as the two most important digital marketing advertising venues. The student will learn how to run successful online advertising campaigns using these two platforms.
  • Customer Service & CRM Essentials Customer Relational Management (CRM) software is introduced. Putting the customer at the heart of your business strategy is the key to success. With UX and Digital Marketing, the customer is the major focus. As we become a digital Marketing Professional, we learn new ways to engage with our existing customers as we reach out to new target markets. We will need a relational database (CRM) that allows us to maintain good service and customer relations.
  • Email Marketing, Blogs, Newsletters The student will learn how to run automated Email campaigns using Mail chimp. Autoresponders, sales emails, invitational emails, and pay per click contact leads and automated hook plugins that connect Mail Chimp to WordPress will be demonstrated. Best practices for Blogs and Newsletters will also be discussed and demonstrated.
  • Google Analytics Google Analytics is a free online internet based program that provides a web analytics service that tracks and reports website traffic. The student will learn how to create an account, implement tracking code, and set up data filters. You will learn how to navigate the Google Analytics interface and reports, and set up dashboards and shortcuts. The course will also demonstrate how to analyze basic Audience, Acquisition, and Behavior reports, and set up goals and campaign tracking.
  • Video, Mobile and App Marketing Digital Marketing technology is evolving rapid to accommodate the increased usage of smart phones. We are now in a “Mobile First” Website and App design environment. In their class, the student will learn the importance of designing landing pages, websites that are smart phone friendly. The student will work with Mobile First website designs (including implementing video on face book, YouTube).


Digital Marketing Professional

Free Pre-Program study 20 hours of pre-program self-study with Instructor mentoring. This training is free and online, and covers an introduction to HTML5 and CSS3, and User Experience. The introductory course on HTML, CSS. The structure of a web page (related to Digital Marketing), “key words”, H1 tags, Title Tags, Meta Tags. Student will learn relevance of website content and search engine results. Students will learn how to build a simple website that utilizes the most widely used tags and code that are crucial for the digital marketer.
