IT Support Professional   

This program includes innovative curriculum from Google, IBM and Amazon, designed to prepare you for an entry-level role in IT support. A job in IT can mean in-person or remote help desk work, either in a small business or at a global company, like Google. Whether you've been tinkering with IT or are completely new to the field, you've come to the right place. Through a dynamic mix of live and video lectures, quizzes, and hands-on labs, this certificate program will introduce you to troubleshooting and customer service, networking, operating systems, system administration, and security.

Through years of struggling to hire IT support professionals, Google decided to train new employees with a program they developed. After an internal testing period, the program is now available to the general public. MCC has been selected as a local provider of this training. Topics to be covered include: Technical Support Fundamentals; The Bits and Bytes of Computer Networking; Operating Systems and You: Becoming a Power User; System Administration and IT Infrastructure Services; and IT Security.

Amazon Web Services helps learners build credibility and confidence by validating their cloud expertise with an industry recognized credential. The AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification is intended for individuals who have the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively demonstrate an overall understanding of the AWS Cloud, independent of specific technical roles addressed by other AWS Certifications. Topics to be covered will include: AWS Cloud is and the basic global infrastructure; basic AWS Cloud architectural principles; AWS Cloud value proposition; key services on the AWS platform and their common use cases; basic security and compliance aspects of the AWS platform and the shared security model; billing, account management, and pricing models; basic/core characteristics of deploying and operating in the AWS Cloud

IBM’s Customer Engagement Specialist class will help you to build the knowledge and develop the skills needed to be a successful in the IT Support profession. Topics to be covered will include: communication skills; appropriate empathetic behavior; problem solving; and process adherence (to insure the proper flow and service level agreements are met.
