The BRC-1 - Beginner RiderCourse is a 2-day Motorcycle Rider Training and NYS DMV Road Test Waiver program designed for those with no or very little experience riding a motorcycle.
Small size 2-wheel Training motorcycles are provided. Cost is $321, payable upon registration.
Successful completion qualifies for a Waiver of the NYS DMV Motorcycle Road Test.
IMPORTANT/REGSTRATION/PAYMENT INFORMATION- Please be sure the course you sign up for is the course you can attend. There is no switching from one course to another.
Once you begin to register, you must complete the transaction within 10 minutes. Do not hit the Back button while registering.
We accept MASTERCARD, VISA and DISCOVER for payment.
You may buy only 1 seat per course in your name. To register an additional person in the course, you must submit a separate registration using that person's name and email address.
If you are submitting multiple registrations using the same credit card, wait at least 20 minutes between transactions (or your credit card company may think your card is being used fraudulently).
As soon as you successfully complete the payment process and submit your registration, your credit card is charged.
ECOURSE INFORMATION
There is a mandatory online eCourse prequisite for this class. You are required by the Motorcycle Safety Foundation to take their Basic eCourse before attending the Basic RiderCourse Beginner classroom/range sessions at Monroe Community College. Once the eCourse is complete, it is valid for 30 days. Please bring a printed copy of your certificate to the first day of class. Complete the eCourse here: www.workforceforward.com/MSFecourse.
You will receive instructions 30 days prior to your Skills Course for your special link to the Motorcycle Safety Foundation e-course access. E-course completions must be taken within that 30-day period to be valid. There are several e-courses on the MSF website. Please wait for our link so that you access the correct e-course.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Cancellation requests must be sent via e-mail to corporatecollege@monroecc.edu at least five business days prior to the scheduled start date of your class at MCC. Please include your name, address, daytime phone number, order number, course name, course code number and course dates. You will be refunded the cost of the class minus a $45 processing fee. Refunds may take up to 3 weeks to process. Incomplete requests cannot be processed for cancellation.
Notification less than 5 business days will result in forfeiture of tuition unless you can provide documentation of a medical problem or death in the family. No Exceptions.
You cannot switch from one course to another.
Make sure the class you register for is one you can attend. If you must make a change, you will need to cancel the class you do not want, as per the instructions above. Next, you will need to register for the course that better fits your schedule. You will be expected to pay the full registration fee for this course.
