Lean Six Sigma Quality for Leaders

Greater Rochester Quality Council and MCC Economic & Workforce Development Center partner to provide organizational leaders (directors, managers) learning in quality, lean and six sigma foundations and principles toward application. The program includes live kickoff and capstone sessions with 24 hours of self-paced, interactive online modules shaping theory, concepts, team management, measurements, tools, and processes to form a foundational kit for actionable planning and project initiation.

Leaders will be assigned tasks to assess and identify internal waste or processes for potential project assignment and have the ability to share thoughts, ideas, and questions with the instructor and peers throughout the asynchronous learning.  Modules include questions and activities to reinforce presented concepts and tactics.  The capstone live session will be a three-hour facilitated discussion and summary of the program with emphasis on project execution and next steps for each organization.  Completion earns a Lean Six Sigma Quality for Leaders Basic Certificate.

The online learning modules are contained under seven headings:

  • Contributions of the Quality Gurus
  • Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA)
  • Lean Foundations and Principles
  • Team Management
  • Theory of Constraints
  • Six Sigma Foundations and Principles
  • Total Quality Management (TQM)
